Welcome to this issue of one24worship - Because worship is a daily lifestyle, one 24-hour day at a time, not just a weekly event.
The one24worship Newsletter is a weekly offering of inspiration, ideas, and insights... 1-2-4: one verse, two quotes, and four observations at a time.
There is a life to which Jesus calls us that can best be described as MORE.
But not necessarily MORE in the realm of physical stuff. No, the MORE life to which Jesus calls us is what He designates as an ABUNDANT LIFE… indeed, an abundance of Him!
And He calls us daily to MORE of Himself, even in the face of obstacles and difficulty.
As one24worshipers, may we hunger and thirst for MORE of Him - today and forever!
Enjoy!
David

One Verse
“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.” John 10:10 ESV

Four Observations
Worship in the Vertical AND the Horizontal: Have we over-privatized Public Worship? - Blog Post by Johnny Markin at WorshipLeaderInstitute.org
Excerpt: “Gathered worship exists in the horizontal, as well as in the vertical. That is why we need to encourage the congregation to sing out and participate physically so that they are not only listening, but sharing in the task of "one anothering" in the company of saints and in the presence of Almighty God.” 👉 Read More…
Are You Spiritually Thirsty? - Article from the Ministry of Adrian Rogers at LWF.org
Excerpt: “People wear their fingers to the bone. They are doing everything they can, and trudging to church every time the doors are open, but still have no satisfaction in their lives.” 👉 Read More…
Food and Fellowship - Blog Post by Dan Crawford at DiscipleAllNations.org
Excerpt: “It seems that our fear of eating together, partly caused by COVID, has caused many churches to discontinue fellowship meals. I, for one, am ready to begin them again. I love food and I love fellowship and I love them both best when they are together.” 👉 Read More…
Dr. Dan Crawford has had a significant impact on my life. Years ago, his book, The Prayer-Shaped Disciple introduced me to many of the spiritual disciplines surrounding prayer that I still practice to this day. (I’ve quoted from Dan’s book in previous issues of The one24worship Newsletter.)
From October 9 – December 1, 2024, Dr. Crawford will be teaching an online course through Southwestern Baptist Seminary, Fort Worth, TX called, “Prayer and Global Ministry.” There is a charge for the course.
“All you need is a computer & a textbook, and you can take the course for credit or audit, in the comfort of your home or office. Two lectures per week with accompanying assignments for 8 weeks.”
To apply for the course, please visit: https://swbts.edu/admissions/apply
Thank you for teaching this course again, Dan! dg

CHORUS
“Hey God / I don’t have the perfect words to / Say but / I know it doesn’t matter / If my words are beautiful or barely put together / You still wanna hear me pray / Even if all that I can say is Hey… God.”
