Welcome to this issue of one24worship - Because worship is a daily lifestyle, one 24-hour day at a time, not just a weekly event.
The one24worship Newsletter is a weekly offering of inspiration, ideas, and insights... 1-2-4: one verse, two quotes, and four observations at a time.
I’ve read that Dwight L. Moody said or wrote, “Character is what you are in the dark.”
(I have been unable to locate proper attribution for this quote. If any of you one24worshipers out there happen to know, I’d appreciate you pointing me in the right direction. 😀 dg)
Whether D. L. Moody actually uttered the above mentioned sentence, we do know that the wisest man who ever lived, Solomon, once wrote something related, “A good name is to be chosen rather than great riches, and favor is better than silver or gold.” Proverbs 22:1 ESV
With this in view, this week’s One Verse/Passage reference is one that has been taped for years above the door, rather unceremoniously, just the inside my office at our church. (Passage quoted below.)
Taping this passage across the top of my door has served as a simple reminder to me, to our team, and to all one24worshipers of the significance of us going about our daily "tasks" with integrity and diligence, primarily as unto the Lord and secondarily before men.
Enjoy!
David

SONG "Night Vision" featuring Sandra McCracken by FAITHFUL & JJ Heller - YouTube Video: Night Vision - FAITHFUL & JJ Heller (Live)
This rather simple yet profound song has helped me and ministered to me in some compelling ways this week. dg
VERSES ONE & TWO, CHORUS
“Be my light be my night vision / It’s been so dark where I’ve been living / Don’t let me fall apart…
“Be my eyes be my night vision / I see you when all the signs are hidden / Let love eclipse my heart…
The day is Yours… / But the night is too… '/ Oh creator of the darkness… / The dark is light to You.”
