Welcome to this issue of one24worship - Because worship is a daily lifestyle, one 24-hour day at a time, not just a weekly event.
The one24worship Newsletter is a weekly offering of inspiration, ideas, and insights... 1-2-4: one verse, two quotes, and four observations at a time.
I love this time of year! It’s springtime! Daylight Saving Time has arrived, the bluebonnets are in blossom, and the windows are getting opened to let the south-Texas breeze to blow through the entire house.
I just read the paragraph above and it sounds more like Chip and Joanna than Dave! 😳
Even though struggles and challenges can remain, spring reemerges as a symbol of old things becoming new, dead things coming back to life!
Indeed, this is all part of the rhythm of life and finding fresh ways to live each 24-hour day, within every season, as a one24worshiper.
May He revive us during this new season!
Enjoy!
David
One Verse
“And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.” Romans 8:28 ESV
Two Quotes
Tim Challies
“For God’s specialty is not bringing good from good, but good from bad. If I trust him through my tears, I am confident he will give me reason to laugh; if I trust him through my pain, he will teach me to praise; if I trust him through my grief, he will afterward show me all the good that came with it and through it.” Tim Challies

Elisabeth Elliot
“I’m convinced that there are a good many things in this life that we really can’t do anything about, but that God wants us to do something with.” Elisabeth Elliot

Four Observations
Our Help in Times of Trouble - Article by Tim Bertolet at ABWE
Excerpt: “In this psalm, like many others, David knows desperate times. With all that is happening, David has only the Lord as his refuge. He pleads with the Lord to save him. He asks the Lord to vindicate him. While the wilderness should have been a safe place for David to hide, it was not. His only safety was in the Lord.”

3 Things Scripture Encourages Us to Boast About - Blog Post by Jordan Raynor at JordanRaynor
Excerpt: “I don’t know about you, but it is hard for me to boast about nothing. Maybe I’m just an excitable, exuberant guy, but I think all of us feel the need to boast in or praise something.”

4 Important Prayers in a Season of Grief - Article by Stacey Monaco at Kainos Project
Excerpt: “Throughout Scripture, and especially within the book of Psalms, it becomes clear that there is a profound holiness in bringing our honest hearts before God. He invites us to come into communion with him in places where no shame can sneak in to rob us of his tender healing.”

CHORUS
“You revive me, You revive me Lord / And all my deserts are rivers of joy / You are the treasure I could not afford / So I'll spend myself 'til I'm empty and poor / All for You, You revive me Lord.”
