One Verse/Passage
“Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body.” 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 ESV
Two Quotes
Barry St. Clair
“I would say praying together is one of the least used weapons the Lord has given us that is just hidden and you rarely see.”

Dietrich Bonhoeffer
“Do not try to make the Bible relevant. Its relevance is axiomatic . . . Do not defend God’s Word, but testify to it . . . Trust to the Word.”

Four Observations
If You Heard What I Heard (a website) - True stories of holocaust survivors as they were heard by the last generation to hear the stories directly from them - their grandchildren.
Disclaimer: The content on this site is not intended for audiences under the age of 13. This site contains references to violent acts. Suitable for ages 13 and up only.
Excerpt: “In May of 2020, after seeing yet another news report of an antisemitic incident at a Los Angeles area synagogue, we thought about our grandparents’ stories, and how if more people today knew about the holocaust, perhaps these incidents would not be so prevalent.
We thought about how our generation would be the last to hear our grandparents’ stories firsthand, in the same room, over the course of decades, directly from them.
We knew we had to do something, and we kept thinking, if you heard what I heard, you would never forget. From the desire to make our grandparents’ stories relevant and relatable for today, this project was born.”
For the Children Ecuador, Inc., DBA Pate Ministries (a website) - Reaching and teaching children and their families with the Gospel along the fishing villages of the Pacific Coast and in remote villages of the Southern Andes Mountains of Ecuador.
Excerpt: “Since February of 2014, we have been living in Southern Ecuador in a city called Cuenca. We work in very rural and remote villages, some of which are up to two hours drive, each way and up to 10,000 feet of elevation. We are working with 1000 to 1,300 indigenous children and adults in nine different rural villages with 11 weekly Bible clubs. We have done everything from construction, medical clinics, children’s Bible clubs, etc. However, our primary work now is with children and their families. […] We also do humanitarian aide from a Christian perspective as a way to show the love of Christ in a tangible way as the Lord leads us.”
For YOUTH LEADERS: Just Grab Sticky Notes! A Simple Prayer Strategy To Revolutionize Student Prayer - Article from Jonny Radcliff and Kevin Miles’ Podcast Interview with Barry St. Clair on The National Network of Youth Ministries
Excerpt: “Barry has just updated his resource on prayer triplets and released it for free to help you implement prayer triplets in your church and group. ‘An Awesome Way to Pray’ includes a 6-week leader's guide and student journal to help you revolutionize your group through prayer.”
SONG from Keith & Kristyn Getty, CityAlight, Sandra McCracken - Christ Is Mine Forevermore (Live from Ryman Auditorium) - CityAlight ft. Sandra McCracken
Verse Two of this song helped carry me through a season of grief which began back in January 2022. I’m grateful to Keith & Kristyn Getty for releasing this new version from SING! 2023. dg
VERSE TWO
“Mine are tears in times of sorrow / Darkness not yet understood / Through the valley I must travel / Where I see no earthly good / But mine is peace that flows from heaven / And the strength in times of need / I know my pain will not be wasted / Christ completes his work in me.”

Current one24worship Poll
Thank you to those who have been responding to the poll. dg
Many people take notes during the message at church. Some use a physical handout provided by the church. Others take out their phone and jot some notes down. Of course, there are plenty of mobile apps, too. Still others are “old school” (like me) and bring a journal to write in or a note pad to write on.
So, if you take sermon notes during church, what’s your #1 challenge? Or, to put it another way, if you could solve the #1 problem you have related to taking sermon notes during church, what might that solution look like?
If you’d like to participate in the Current one24worship Poll, please email your response to Current one24worship Poll.
Thank you!
