Welcome to this issue of one24worship - Because worship is a daily lifestyle, one 24-hour day at a time, not just a weekly event.
The one24worship Newsletter is a weekly offering of inspiration, ideas, and insights landing in your email inbox every Thursday... 1-2-4: one verse, two quotes, and four observations at a time.
During dinner with a friend this past Monday evening, a portion of our conversation reminded me of how important it is for us to be mindful and aware of the Lord’s presence in every aspect of our lives.
“We ought not to be weary of doing little things for the love of God, who regards not the greatness of the work, but the love with which it is performed. And it is not necessary to have great things to do. I turn my little omelette in the pan for the love of God.” Brother Lawrence (1614 - 1691), The Practice of the Presence of God
While challenging at times, mindfulness and awareness of His presence can help bring calm in the midst of turmoil and guide us in making wise choices.
It’s with this thought in mind that I’m including the song, “Psalm 27 (The Lord Is My Light)” by Jordan Kauflin, Matt Merker, and Laura Story as one of the one24worship Observations this week.
VERSE THREE
“One thing I have asked, to see Your beauty / This I will seek, this I will seek / To dwell in Your house, to walk in Your ways / Your presence is all I need.”
Psalm 27 (The Lord Is My Light)
Desiring to be more mindful and aware of His presence this week. Want to join me?
Enjoy!
David
One Verse
“The Lord your God is in your midst,
a mighty one who will save;
he will rejoice over you with gladness;
he will quiet you by his love;
he will exult over you with loud singing.” Zephaniah 3:17 ESV
Two Quotes
Bruno Di Matteo Miranda
“Worship is not a performance; it is the only appropriate response to being in the presence of royalty.” Bruno Di Matteo Miranda

Four Observations
Why Do You Worship? - by James Williams at GCDiscipleship.com
Excerpt: “The ultimate motivation of our worship should not be based on our circumstances but rather a heart that recognizes God’s infinite worth. When we see his beauty, grace, love, mercy, justice, and righteousness, we recognize that he’s always worthy of the worship of every creature . . . no matter what’s going on in our life.” 👉 Read More…
Do You Have a Desire to Worship God? - from Adrian Rogers at LWF.org
Excerpt: “When your one goal and aim is to glorify Jesus above everything else; when He’s more precious to you than silver, more costly than gold; and when you want to adore Him, the Holy Spirit of God within you will join you and praise will come up out of you. When you become Spirit filled, you cannot help but worship.” 👉 Read More…
FOR WORSHIP LEADERS: Are Worshippers Looking for More Authentic Worship Void of High-production Elements? - by Kenny Lamm at RenewingWorshipNC.org
Excerpt: “I believe in excellence in every way in worship. We should utilize technologies to assist our ministries where they can help us. Backing tracks (STEMS), in-ear monitors, lighting, and awesome audio and video equipment can all assist us in leading our congregations in worship that is life-changing as we help them to ‘proclaim the gospel, cherish God’s presence and to live for God’s glory.’ However, we can also abuse these tools in a way that distracts from helping our people worship.” 👉 Read More…
