Welcome to this issue of one24worship - Because worship is a daily lifestyle, one 24-hour day at a time, not just a weekly event.
The one24worship Newsletter is a weekly offering of inspiration, ideas, and insights... 1-2-4: one verse, two quotes, and four observations at a time.
So, this summer, I stepped up the pace on an ongoing project that I had been procrastinating on - well, off and on - for over four years now - completing the task of sorting through the remainder of my late dad’s boxes and file folders.
As a result, almost every available inch of horizontal space in my house seems currently occupied by 1000’s of old documents, photographs, and letters, Letters, LETTERS!
Most evenings, I’m surrounded with massive amounts of cursive correspondence, some of which dates all the way back into the 1800’s, including items handwritten and signed by my great grandparents!
At times, it feels overwhelming. That’s because it IS overwhelming! (Hence the procrastination, I suppose.)
Still, to be sure, I’m regularly finding precious treasures hidden amidst what can only otherwise be described as, “clutter.” 😀
My plan has been to be completed with all the “clutter” part by this fall - hopefully, before Thanksgiving and Christmas!
In the meantime, and in the spirit of de-cluttering, I’m trying out a minor change in The one24worship Newsletter by removing the images typically shown in the One Verse and Two Quotes sections of the weekly newsletter.
All of the content will remain, just with (hopefully) a less cluttered appearance.
If you’re inclined, via the comments, I’d be interested to know which you’d prefer receiving in your email inbox - with or without the photos.
Enjoy!
David

One Verse
“For this is the message that you have heard from the beginning, that we should love one another.” 1 John 3:11 ESV
Two Quotes
Stephen Charnock
“A view of God upon His throne will make us think His service our privilege, His precepts our ornaments, and obedience to Him the greatest honor and nobility.” Stephen Charnock

Wesley Duewel
“Christ is not sitting passively in blissful royal-dignity, unmoved, while you intercede. No! Never! You intercede because He intercedes.” Wesley Duewel

Four Observations
Mature in Continually Worshiping God - by Andrew Davis at TwoJourneys.org
Excerpt: “There is a worship all Christians should do continually, daily, in his or her own heart and with his or her own body. This is informal and circumstantial, coming as the Spirit moves and reveals some aspect of God’s glory in scripture or in creation.” 👉 Read More…
God Knows Exactly What Suffering He’s Called Each of Us to Endure - by Randy Alcorn at EPM.org
Excerpt: “Sufferers commonly ask, “Why me? Why not someone else? Why haven’t my friends lost a child or their husband? Why can they walk and ride bikes while I’m in a wheelchair? Why have you treated me differently, God?” 👉 Read More…
3 Reasons Your Worry Problem Might Be a Worship Problem - by Michael Kelley at MichaelKelley.co
Excerpt: “Similar to worry, worship is much more than singing or bowing or clapping or whatever. Worship is a posture that originates in our hearts where our treasure is determined. Because both of these things find their origin in our hearts, we can reasonably conclude that they are related in some way to one another.” 👉 Read More…

I like the old way better. It was actually easier on the eyes!
To answer your question, I like to see pictures in articles and books. Pictures put life in an article, and allows a person to understand the writer's article in depth.
