Welcome to this issue of one24worship - Because worship is a daily lifestyle, one 24-hour day at a time, not just a weekly event.
The one24worship Newsletter is a weekly offering of inspiration, ideas, and insights... 1-2-4: one verse, two quotes, and four observations at a time.
As this edition of The one24worship Newsletter is being released, several eastern states of the United States are still reeling from the devastation of Hurricane Helene. And even now, Hurricane Milton is making its way into the Atlantic after pummeling it’s way across Florida overnight.
Whenever disaster occurs, it’s time to pray fervently, to find ways to help mobilize assistance, and to donate generously to reputable relief organizations. Right now, there are many wonderful, reputable Christian organizations currently participating in these hurricane-ravaged disaster relief efforts.
For many years, during disasters, I have partnered and volunteered with, and financially supported Somebody Cares America, Doug Stringer, Founder & President.
In a Facebook post two days ago, Doug wrote:
“The needs are massive, and relief and recovery from Helene will be a long-term process, and now the potential impact of Hurricane Milton will exasperate the already overwhelming and heartrending conditions for so very many. We so appreciate your ongoing partnership and support!” Doug Stringer
SCA Field Representative Mark Roye (who just returned this week from a ministry trip overseas to Cambodia and is now on the ground in North Carolina) provided this update yesterday via Facebook:
“Thousands of meals have already been served and over 10 18 wheeler trailers have distributed to those affected by Hurricane Helena.” Mark Roye
Please continue to fervently pray, explore ways to help mobilize assistance, and please consider making a financial donation.
Your contribution can help Doug and Mark and the Somebody Cares Network bring needed supplies to care for people and be a tangible expression of God’s love to those affected by Hurricanes Helene and Milton. Please click here to donate and thank you!
Thank you and enjoy!
David

What the Power of Praise Can Do in Our Struggles - by Debbie McDaniel at KHCB.org
Excerpt: “God dwells close to us when we praise Him; our spirits are refreshed and renewed in His presence. We’re strengthened by His peace and refueled by His joy. Through a heart of praise, we realize that God doesn’t just change our situations and work through our problems – He changes our hearts.” 👉 Read More…
Rite of Passage: Time and Treasures - by the late Walker Moore at BaptistMessenger.com
Excerpt: “I have become a time-grabber. I grab every minute I can with any of my family members. I treasure our short rides to the grocery store. I treasure the conversation as they talk about whatever they want. The topic doesn’t matter to me because I cherish the time more than the conversation.” 👉 Read More…
SONG “The Light That Is Life” by Nathan Nockels - YouTube Video: The Light That is Life - Nathan Nockels [Instrumental Music]
I met Nathan Nockels a little over 20 years ago, during the formative years of the Passion Movement. If you are unfamiliar with Nathan, his YouTube Channel describes him as,
“Acclaimed producer, songwriter and composer Nathan Nockels has spent the better part of the past three decades helming records for other artists. Responsible for bringing GRAMMY® award-winning selections like Matt Redman’s “10,000 Reasons (Bless the Lord)” and Laura Story’s “Blessings” to life…”
I’m loving listening to Nathan’s latest instrumental record, WHEN THE LIGHT LEADS and I hope you do, too. You can find links to various streaming services at https://nathannockels.lnk.to/whenthelightleads. dg
