Small & Great Praise, Unveiling the Heart of Worship, Steps to Wisdom, Resilience, "Shedding My Burdens", and "All My Boast is in Jesus"
Welcome to this issue of one24worship - Because worship is a daily lifestyle, not just a weekly event.
Here is 1-2-4: one verse/passage, two quotes, and four observations to consider this week.
One Verse/Passage
“And the twenty-four elders and the four living creatures fell down and worshiped God who was seated on the throne, saying, ‘Amen. Hallelujah!’ And from the throne came a voice saying, ‘Praise our God, all you his servants, you who fear him, small and great.’” Revelation 19:4-5 ESV
Two Quotes (Unveiling the Heart of Worship)
Matt Papa
“I believe with all my heart that God is going to use some of you in this room to turn the world upside down for Jesus […]. But it’s not because of you, how good you are or how determined you are. It’s simply because that’s what happens when a human being sees God.”

Matt Boswell
“We don’t pursue theology as an end in itself. To do so would be the pursuit of knowledge rather than the pursuit of God. There is a grave difference between knowing about God and knowing God.”

Four Observations
12 Steps To Becoming Wiser - Article by Mark Cole
“Becoming wiser is a lifelong journey that can be influenced by various factors and experiences. Here are some 12 steps and principles on your journey to wisdom.”
Resilience: Embracing Challenges With Faith and Endurance - Article by Mike White
“Embracing resilience is not just a choice but a necessity in life’s journey. By holding on to our faith and seeking strength through prayer, we can endure challenges with hope, joy, and the assurance that God’s love never fails. Let us face life’s obstacles with unwavering trust in Jesus, knowing that our trials will ultimately lead to growth and transformation. Together, we can navigate the storms and inspire others to embrace resilience in their own lives. Count it all joy!”
New BOOK by Any Jesus Jorge - Shedding My Burdens: "One generation shall commend Your works to another; they will tell of Your mighty acts” Psalm 145:4
I have known JJ and Any Jorge for well over a quarter century now. They are dear and precious friends to me. (In fact, I was privileged to enjoy a dinner with them in their home just this week! Any is an amazing cook!)
The story that she recounts in Shedding My Burdens is her very real, raw and redemptive story, as only Any could tell it. (As I read, in my mind, I can hear her voice speaking each line!)
While making my way through Any’s gripping story, I am consistently moved by the drama unfolding before me on the pages. At the very beginning of the Dedication, Any writes,
“I wrote this book because I believe our history is the best life coach and teacher of personal convictions. There are many flaws, errors, and ups and downs in my life story. However, it depicts how I found a way to get out of the past and move into the future. There is a name for that discovery, and because of that name, I can pen the words that make up the pages of this book. That name is the Lord Jesus Christ.”

New SONG by Keith Getty, Bryan Fowler, Matt Boswell, and Matt Papa - All My Boast Is in Jesus (Lyric Video) - Keith & Kristyn Getty, Matt Boswell, Matt Papa
FINAL CHORUS
“All my boast is in Jesus / All my hope is His love / And I will glory forever / In what the cross has done / Now I stand in this freedom / Ransomed, clean in His sight / And I cannot be ashamed for / My boast is Jesus Christ / My boast is Jesus Christ / Forever my boast is Jesus Christ.”

Current one24worship Poll
Many people take notes during the message at church. Some use a physical handout provided by the church. Others take out their phone and jot some notes down. Still others are “old school” (like me) and bring a journal to write in or a note pad to write on.
So, if you take sermon notes during church, what’s your #1 challenge? Or, to put it another way, if you could solve the #1 problem you have related to taking sermon notes during church, what would that solution look like?
Last week, in response to this Current one24worship Poll, Virginia emailed…
“This past week, I left my Bible in the car with my note pad inside it. I was disappointed and my concentration level on what the pastor was saying seemed to keep going past me. I was distracted by everything and everybody around me. […] If I forget to bring it [my Bible] and my notebook into the church my mind wanders and I can't concentrate.”
