Welcome to this issue of one24worship. There are only 24 hours in every day and it truly matters how we live out these precious days each week, one 24-hour day at a time. Every. Day. Matters.
Hence the name, one24worship - Because worship is a daily lifestyle, not just a weekly event.
one24worship - a weekly offering of inspiration, ideas, and insights... 1-2-4: one verse, two quotes, and four observations at a time.
One Verse/Passage
“Pray for the peace of Jerusalem!
‘May they be secure who love you!
Peace be within your walls
and security within your towers!’
For my brothers and companions' sake
I will say, ‘Peace be within you!’
For the sake of the house of the Lord our God,
I will seek your good.” Psalm 122:6-9 ESV
Two Quotes
Will Davis, Jr.
“Rarely if ever does God give you blessings that he intends you to keep to yourself. He typically blesses you so you can serve and bless others.”

Susie Davis
“Fear is a wild weed with deep roots. […] …God is jealous. He doesn’t just want to cut off the top parts of the wild weed we see in our lives; he wants the deep, entangled roots out, too. The places where fear runs out of control, strangling trust.”

Four Observations
Excerpt: “‘Every challenge presents an opportunity for the Lord to display His faithfulness and love,’ said Dr. Stanley. ‘Rejoice that God faces the coming days with you forevermore.’ With Dr. Stanley’s patient guidance in Trusting God with Today, make a commitment to trust God and train yourself to look beyond what you can see to what God sees.”
Six Reminders about Christian Hope - Article adapted from the sermon “Radiant with Hope” by Alistair Begg
Excerpt: “A good schoolteacher knows that there are moments when it is better to stop drilling grammar and instead to open a good book so that the young minds in her care will learn to simply love and enjoy literature. And as students of the Word, we ought to take time, too, to stop, rest, and let the promises of God’s Word simply wash over us so that we may relish His goodness.”
God Calls Us to Find Happiness in Him - Article by Randy Alcorn
Excerpt: “The fact that ‘rejoice’ is followed by ‘always’ and is repeated (‘again I say rejoice’) makes it one of the most emphatic directives in Scripture. If our lives are not characterized by rejoicing, or if we’ve given up on happiness, we’re missing out on what God intends for us. We must go to Him and ask for His help and empowerment to find joy in Him.”

Current one24worship Poll
Many people take notes during the message at church. Some use a physical handout provided by the church. Others take out their phone and jot some notes down. Of course, there are plenty of mobile apps, too. Still others are “old school” (like me) and bring a journal to write in or a note pad to write on.
So, if you take sermon notes during church, what’s your #1 challenge? Or, to put it another way, if you could solve the #1 problem you have related to taking sermon notes during church, what would that solution look like?
If you’d like to participate in the Current one24worship Poll, please email your response to Current one24worship Poll.
Thank you!
