Welcome to this issue of one24worship - Because worship is a daily lifestyle, one 24-hour day at a time, not just a weekly event.
The one24worship Newsletter is a weekly offering of inspiration, ideas, and insights... 1-2-4: one verse, two quotes, and four observations at a time.
My friend, Skip and I just returned from a mission trip to Ecuador on behalf of The Country Church last week where we partnered with Gary and Dena Pate and their ministry, For The Children of Ecuador.
It was a very full week that included an evening Bible Study, a basic Medical Clinic, multiple Bible Clubs for children and for youth, and an Outreach Movie Night.
The Pate’s are doing a good work in an impoverished environment in Jesus’ name.
You can find out more about Gary and Dena and their ministry in Ecuador on their website at PateMinistries.org.
In light of this recent international trip, the first couple of the one24worship Observations this week have a specific global missions focus.
Enjoy!
David
One Verse
“Oh, the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are his judgments and how inscrutable his ways!” Romans 11:33 ESV
Two Quotes
Steve Gaines
“In corporate worship, each member should intentionally engage with the Lord. You shouldn’t just show up, warm a pew, give an offering, listen to the sermon, and go home. In all of it, your goal is to connect with God!” Steve Gaines

Four Observations
A Long and Lasered Focus on Kenya - Article by Barry St. Clair in His “May 2024 Ministry Update” at EastWest .org
Excerpt: “‘Make disciples. Don’t settle for “decisions.”’ We use a discipleship model I learned 40 years ago from Barry St. Clair. As a youth pastor, I built our youth ministry on ‘I do it...I do it and they are with me...They do it and I am with them...They do it and I am in the background to encourage.’ And, for the past 19 years now, we have been discipling leaders in East Africa using this same model.” Mike Curry 👉 Read More…
Great Commission Spirituality: Treefulness - Article by E. D. Burns at ABWE .org
Excerpt: “Our union with Christ transforms how we see into the ordinary and the extraordinary. In addition, it establishes Great Commission service and spirituality. How so? We begin to see that all of creation, life, redemption, and eternity are about God lavishly bestowing the riches of his kindness upon his beloved people in Christ.” 👉 Read More…
Son of Suffering - Blog Post by Andrea Maher at BeStillFoundation .org
Excerpt: “Suffering can drown us in significant ways if we give in to its emotional pull, then we will ultimately lose perspective and try to carry the burden on our own, which we were never meant to do. . . . Nothing can drain a person of their energy quicker than that which pierces the heart. That is why Christ beckons us to Himself.” 👉 Read More…
NEW SONG “His Glory and My Good” by CityAlight - YouTube Video: CityAlight - His Glory and My Good (Live)
VERSE TWO
“There is hope in every trial / For I can trust the Lord / He will turn my heart towards Him / And help me bear the thorn / So in faith I follow Jesus / On the road not understood / For I know that He is working / For His glory and my good!”
