Welcome to this issue of one24worship - Because worship is a daily lifestyle, one 24-hour day at a time, not just a weekly event.
The one24worship Newsletter is a weekly offering of inspiration, ideas, and insights... 1-2-4: one verse, two quotes, and four observations at a time.
“All of life is a trade.” Joshua Becker
This short, six-word sentence has been haunting me for the past few days.
Every decision and every action involves a transaction - a trade - of some kind. One choice negates other options. One activity cancels out other courses of action.
The question for one24worshipers… for what are we “trading” in our ways of thinking and in our daily pursuits?
Along these lines, Joshua Becker’s article, A Life-Changing Truth: We’re All Minimizing Something is part of today’s Four Observations.
It’s well worth the read.
Enjoy!
David
One Verse/Passage
“Oh sing to the Lord a new song; sing to the Lord, all the earth! Sing to the Lord, bless his name; tell of his salvation from day to day. Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous works among all the peoples!” Psalm 96:1-3 ESV
Two Quotes
Louie Giglio

Four Observations
A Life-Changing Truth: We’re All Minimizing Something - by Joshua Becker at becomingminimalist.com
I love this article from Joshua. It captures a viewpoint of how living a one24worship lifestyle might be experienced. dg
Excerpt: “Every day, we make choices about where we spend our time, money, energy, and attention. By definition, these resources are limited. Even if we were the richest man or woman on earth, there is still only a finite amount of money and time available to us. It is impossible to do or have everything.” 👉 Read More…
True Rest Comes from God - by Tim Challies at Challies.com
Excerpt: “I would encourage you to remind yourself of how Corrie ten Boom interpreted her struggles. She chose not to resolve her difficult circumstances on the hope of the world or the hope of herself. She resolved her heart to focus on Jesus, the Christ, our Savior. That is where we find rest.” 👉 Read More…
FOR WORSHIP LEADERS: A Calling to Worship Ministry, Part One - by Kenny Lamm at RenewingWorshipNC.org
Excerpt: “God calls all Christians to the universal call of Christian service and some Christians to the general call of ministry leadership; and those He calls to ministry leadership also receive a specific call to a ministry assignment.” 👉 Read More…

VERSES ONE & TWO
“There's hope when the night is falling
Hope when the fight is calling
Hope when the fear is closing in
You are the lamp to my feet
You're in the trenches with me
You are the reason I can sing
You are the reason I can sing!”

This is one of the most moving newsletters, you have written. Anyone who reads this can relate to the phrase that Corrie ten Boom wrote. When she said "when we look at the world, we become distressed, when we look inside our selves we are depressed but when we look to Jesus, we find rest. That is the answer to a lot of people's question, why am I depressed? Simple, you are looking at the wrong things, Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus. The same goes for money, I have never wanted to be rich. I have searched for many things that could satisfy me but I never found it in things. The words and sounds of music is one of the most fulfilling things that I love. The most fulfilling are the words of Jesus Christ. 1st Cor. 13:12 KJV "For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face ;" What a day that will be, when we see Him as He is. Money cannot buy that moment in time.
