Welcome to this issue of one24worship - Because worship is a daily lifestyle, one 24-hour day at a time, not just a weekly event.
one24worship is a weekly offering of inspiration, ideas, and insights... 1-2-4: one verse, two quotes, and four observations at a time.
Into every 24-hour day, opportunities exist for challenges to arise and for blessings to emerge.
As we proceed through both types of daily circumstances, prayer and faith will help carry us through, measured by an assurance that the Lord knows the end from the beginning.
In fact, He has known every ending even before every beginning.
And because we can be confident that He knows the end from the beginning, one of the confessions of a one24worshiper can be, “God doesn’t waste anything.”
And so, neither should we… by His grace!
Enjoy!
David

Four Observations
A Worshipping Church - Article from a Sermon by the late Adrian Rogers at Love Worth Finding
Excerpt: “We become like what we worship. This is why it’s important to know exactly who we are worshiping, because if we do not worship Almighty God, we will be susceptible to worship anything else.
Not only does God seek worshippers for what it does for us, but also for what it does for Him. Our praise gives Him pleasure as our Father; He yearns for our devotion and our honor.”

Why We Always Need More Books on Every Subject - Post by David Kaywood at Gospel Relevance
Excerpt: “Every decade or so (or even sooner) we need a new batch of books on every subject to reach a new generation because every generation is culturally trained with different ways of thinking. Millennials and younger generations, for example, easily attribute credibility to younger people, which makes room for newer books by younger influencers.”

How to Persevere in Prayer When Stressed Out - Article by Kevin Halloran at Open the Bible
Excerpt: “If our anxiety level remains the same after we pray, something is wrong. Prayer involves trust. Prayer involves ‘casting all your anxieties on him’ (1 Peter 5:7), not holding on to what worries us with an iron grip.
Sometimes it seems like, although you want to pick up your burdens and cast them upon the Lord, your hands have such a tight grip on your burdens that you cannot let go. It’s like someone super-glued worry to your hands, and it stuck so well that a crowbar couldn’t pry it off.”

Thank you! This publication was helpful. I'm glad God knows our beginning and our end. I'm thankful we can pray and cast our burdens on the Lord. I like Bro. Butch's quote about wisdom and knowledge. Someone once said that knowledge is second-hand learning.Wisdom comes from God.
