Just love this final quote from your sermon notes! I amTeaching a Bible study right now called Seeking Him:Experiencing the Joy of Personal Revival. And this very truth of how to know we need revival is something we talked about the first week. We are in week 6 (of 12 total) now and seeing real revival beginning in hearts!
Thanks for the comment, Shellynne. I have loved Nancy's Revive Our Hearts ministry for years. I'm often convicted by Leonard Ravenhill's quote, “The only reason we don’t have revival is because we are willing to live without it!” God bless, David
Ouch! That is such a simple yet powerful statement. Looking forward to reading more now that I discovered your One24Worship. May His grace enable you David. This calls for some guitar strumming worship today!😀
True revival came to me during COVID. Since we were locked away from so many people, life became very lonely. It also became a very sad time, hearing about the deaths of friends and loved ones. Also, the daily count of how many had died in our country. During this lock down time, I turned to the Lord and found what I needed. Through the Christian channel and five preacher's: These five preacher's were, Dr. Jeremiah, Dr. Jeffress, Dr. Young, Dr. Stanley and Pastor Alan Jackson. During this time, I also read the Bible, and prayed each day all day. I could feel the presense of God so strong. I felt that if I looked up, I could see Him. If I reached inside my heart, I would find Him. I can only compare this time to when I was saved at age of 21. During those days, l spent time in Bible study, attended all church services and events. Visitation and witnessing were the things that blessed my heart the most. The only thing that I did then, that I cannot do now was spending prayer time on my knees. I believe that true revival comes in the good times and the bad times. It's up to each one of us, where we choose to put God in our lives. Psalm 150:v6 Let everything that has breath Praise the Lord. PRAISE THE LORD!
Thank you, Virginia. Indeed, true revival is possible in the good times and the bad times. As the lyrics to Billy and Cindy Foote's song says, "And right now / In the good times and bad / You are on Your throne / And you are God alone."
